Inger Carle is a freelance violinist who has made Chicago her home for the last decade.
Inger performs regularly with chamber ensembles, orchestras, rock bands, big bands,
theater companies, touring musicians, and for the lovely Deep Blue Field. She has
also performed nationally with ensembles such as Sarasota Opera and the Key West
Symphony Orchestra, and has performed internationally with both orchestral and
chamber ensembles. An active recording artist, Inger can be heard on numerous
recordings by local, national and international musical acts, most recently including Mono,
Sleeping at Last, Tonic and Poi Dog Pondering. She has also recorded on both movie and live theatre sound tracks. Inger holds a Master of Music degree from
Carnegie Mellon University where she appreaed as a soloist with the CMU
Philharmonic, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her principal instructors include Andres Cardenes,
concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and Donald Weilerstein, former first violinist of the Clevleand Quartet.
